I was pleasantly surprised at how well this product works! I needed to make a trail to a fence line I needed to repair and the weed eater was painfully slow with the tall (4' +) weeds and small shrubs. This product cut the time more than half cutting a swath about 7-8' wide. The swinging blades are great in reducing the strain when striking heavy objects such as rocks or logs keeping the blades from breaking. I recommend getting an extra pair of blades because if you lose/break (didn't tighten enough) one blade the entire thing is unusable. I cut a 7'x50' long path before losing the first blade because I didn't make sure the bolt had been inserted all the way into the plastic housing so it worked itself loose. After getting a replacement I cut a few shooting lanes at my hunting area in no time, just in time for deer season.
I do wish they would make the blade inserts out of a tougher metal though; it would cut thicker branches (cuts 1" with care) without denting the metal. Well worth the price in time savings.
