I applied this product after buying it from a Large hardware store. I read some reviews that were not very favorable, but thought that I would try it anyway. I followed the application instructions very closely. After just several months the product is peeling and descintigrating into a dust-like substance. Company refused to honnor its warranty. That sais a lot to me about the people who make this. Save yourself the aggrivation and money, STAY far away from this sealer.

This product is an emulsified gel. It has a uniform consistency from top to bottom. With time though the gel will seperate into various layers, the heavier constituents gravitating to the bottom and the liquid to the top. It may take only a few months, so buy new product. Look for clean lids without a depression. Do not buy in the spring because you will be buying leftover product. I just got some new shipment and believe me you DO NOT HAVE TO MIX. Mixing is just extra work. Buy the new stuff (clean lids without a depression), get the 7 year (goes on easier) and get a Rubbermaid driveway roller to finish the job.

The secret to this "great" product is mixing. Purchase a metal mixer approximately 18" in length(paint department) and attach it to a variable speed drill. When you open the sealer it will be essentially a big gob just under the liquid. This is where most people make the mistake of believing you don't need to mix - WRONG!
Sit down, get comfortable, set the variable speed to really slow (once mixer is in the product) and mix until all the lumps are gone...its actually kinda fun - you can adjust the speed to suit your patience.
Next, I poured about a half-gallon on driveway and using just the brush walked back and forth pushing the product. It went on perfect, was fun, and I got my walking exercise for the day.
It dries in one hour for foot traffic which is great! Remember MIX.
