Comments about Suncast® Tumbling Composter (TCB6800):
I have gone through 4 bolts that hold the barrel onto
the frame. The first was before it even was out of my
truck.
I replaced them with case hardened steel bolts that still
shear off. Empty or full, it seems not to matter.
Very disappointed.

Comments about Suncast® Tumbling Composter (TCB6800):
The materials are not holding up as I expected. Specifically, the bolts that hold the tumbler on the stand have rusted and broken, one of the lids has bowed out, and now the tumbler leaks. The item is less than two years old!! For the money, I expected something of a much better quality. Now I have to start looking for another solution.

Comments about Suncast® Tumbling Composter (TCB6800):
I noted an earlier review mentions it is difficult to turn when full. This is true but you should remember you are turning 60 lbs which means it is a good capacity composter. A stationary composter is more difficult because you have to turn it with a shovel or pitch fork. Turning frequently keeps the compost material aerated and speeds the process.

Comments about Suncast® Tumbling Composter (TCB6800):
The design of the barrel makes it difficult to assemble, very hard to tighten the carriage bolts since the lip is so tight at the seam. I know it saves space in packaging to have the barrel assemble in 2 parts, but its worth the extra money to buy a single barrel. Also, we've had it only 3 weeks and one of the carriage bolts at the turning gear has already sheared in half. Guessing it's designed to do that so the barrel itself does not break, but seems that 3 weeks is very quick for that to happen. We can still use it, just need to be careful not to knock the barrel out of place.

Comments about Suncast® Tumbling Composter (TCB6800):
I am writing today to comment on assembly. The composter was very easy to assemble. The directions were straight forward and easy to follow. I have one complaint through: the latches for the lids were very difficult to insert, in fact, my hand was so sore from inserting the first latch that I was unable to endure it for the second latch, so I collared my son and now he has a sore hand also. There is no reason that the latches could not have been installed at the factory, which is what I would recommend.
I see little point in the agitators on the axle bar. I do not think that I will be use them once the drum is half full, besides tumbling should agitate the compost sufficiently. I can see that tumbling will be an issue because I do not see a way to keep the tumbling lock open while tumbling, so it will require a second person to keep the lock open while I turn the drum. There needs to be a way to open the lock and leave it open until the tumbling is completed.
I am looking forward to my first batch of compost and if this works as well as I hope it will I will be buying two more.

Comments about Suncast® Tumbling Composter (TCB6800):
I love this composter. It is easy to turn, open, add to, and remove from. I have a bad back and my husband got this so I could compost for my garden. It makes the compost fast, in about a month. I open it and tip it to remove the compost. The smaller you chop up your garden refuse, the faster it works. Well worth the money. I got a second one I love it so much. While one is working, I use the second one. Attractive too. It was not so easy to assemble but worth it in the long run.
