I bought it a year ago as a backup to my plunger. I finally needed it last week for my clogged tub and it went in easily enough. When I pulled it out the Velcro flat head was gone. I still had to call the Plumber!

A well designed gadget/tool, applied with a little technique!
At first, it may seem a little "tricky" uncoiling and straitening the "snake" to the length needed. However, it's really not difficult... It's a lot easier than trying to straiten and bend a coat-hanger into a hook.. (Which is what I've done in the past)!
This gadget may not be as cheep as a wire coat-hanger! None the less, it's inexpensive, reusable, easy to store, and it gets the job done very quickly! 10 - 15 minutes,.. tops!
Very little mess! ..and no toxic chemicals!
A great little device for clearing "hair clogs" from simple bathtub & bathroom sink drains. I didn't need to remove the mechanical drain stoppers... just made sure I uncoiled it fairly strait. Also, I didn't force it, or jam it down the drain!
I proceeded to feed the snake slowly down the drain, with a "gentle", back and forth, up-down, twisting motion. When I felt the blockage.. I slowly twisted the snake as I withdrew the hair plug. I repeated the process twice, and retrieved two chunks of the hair plug. I cleaned the mess off the end of the snake in a paper towel and tossed it in the trash!
I repeated the process a 3rd time to make sure I hadn't missed anything.. ran some water to clear the drain and I was done! It worked very well!
I also have used this gadget to clear the garage sink drain.
I removed a "washing machine lint" plug which formed due to the water getting past the "lint-trap sock" on the washing machine waste-water discharging into the garage sink drain.
The little hooks on the "Velcro" pad, on the business end of the snake really do a great job of grabbing the fine hair and lint, which is often difficult to capture with a coat-hanger or wire hook.
It's a great gadget for clearing simple bathroom type drains!
NO TOXIC OR CORROSIVE CHEMICALS! Very cool!

Comments about AS SEEN ON TV Turbo Snake® Drain Snake (TSNAKE-CD6):
Turbo Snake is inexpensive tool for clearing shallow clogs, and I've had better results than I expected. I think the trick is not to manhandle the tool- just feed it gently until you counter resistance, then jiggle it enough to figure out if the resistance is caused by a bend in the pipe that you can maneuver through, or if you've encountered the source of the clog. Once you find the blockage, twirl or turn the cable gently... that should either dislodge loose debris or enmesh the velcro hooks into the mass so you can fish it out.A couple of passes did an amazing job of clearing slow-moving drains in my bathtub and bathroom sink (caused by a combo hair, pet fur, and soap scum), and I was also able to clear a blockage of soft food debris that slipped past the drain cover in my kitchen sink (we don't have a disposal). For [$], it's probably cost me a little less than chemical drain cleaner per use so far, and I'm actually happier with the results.

Comments about AS SEEN ON TV Turbo Snake® Drain Snake (TSNAKE-CD6):
One of the claims for the Turbo Snake is that you don't have to remove the drain stopper in order to use it. That was half true when I used it - it went in easy enough. But once it caught the hair and dirt in the drain, it no longer fit past the drain stopper. And when I tried to pull it up, the Turbo Snake broke, leaving half of it stuck in my drain. So I had to remove the drain stopper in order to get the rest of the Turbo Snake out of my drain.
It did a good job of clearing my drain. But if you use it, be sure you know how to remove the drain stopper and how to put it back in correctly.
If I'd known I was going to have to take out the drain stopper, I could have gotten a cheaper snake that wouldn't have broken after just one use.
