Returning an Item to an Ace Retail Store

Save time and money! In order to make your return process as convenient as possible, we encourage you to make your www.acehardware.com item returns to one of our 4,600 Ace Hardware stores nationwide up to thirty days after the original purchase date. It's easy; just follow these steps:

  1. Find the nearest Ace Hardware retail store by using our Store Locator.
  2. Before visiting the store, place the item securely in the original package.
  3. Bring the original packing slip with the item. Be sure to keep a copy of the packing slip for your records.
  4. All products must be returned in good condition, in original boxes (whenever possible), and with all the paperwork, parts and accessories to insure a full credit (purchase price not including shipping and handling, gift-wrap, or other additional charges).*
  5. Take the item and original packing list to your local Ace Hardware retail store.

The store associate will process your return and issue you store credit (minus shipping and handling, gift-wrap, or other additional charges) in the form of an Ace Hardware Merchandise Return card.

Returning an Item to Our Online Store

We recommend that you make returns of online purchases to an Ace Hardware retail store near you. If you do not have an Ace Hardware retail store near you, please contact a Customer Service Specialist by calling 1-866-290-5334 for complete return instructions.


*GAS-POWERED OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT RETURN POLICY

The following return policy applies to gas-powered outdoor equipment:

Gas-Powered Outdoor Equipment (such as tillers, edgers, mowers, string trimmers, blowers, tractors, generators, chainsaws, snow blowers, as well as all other gas powered chore equipment) may be returned within 30 days of the date of purchase, with original receipt, provided that it is in like-new condition. Such Equipment MAY NOT be returned once gas or oil has been put in it, even if the Equipment has been drained of these materials.

However, please note that if your Gas-Powered Outdoor Equipment is defective or is not functioning properly, its service and warranty issues will be handled through the authorized service center. Authorized service center information can be found in the owner’s manual or contact Customer Service at 1-866-290-5334 to obtain location information for service centers. Note that appropriate maintenance and use of your equipment is required to ensure manufacturer’s specified warranty is not voided.
