Comments about Marsh Allen® Cast Iron Hibachi Charcoal Grill (30052):

Owned a Hibachi grill back in the 70's and loved it then. This grill lights quickly, heats evenly and cooks efficiently. Its also great to take to the lake, or anywhere else you wish to grill out. AND, one gallon of water will cool it for packing it up and bringing it home safely.

Comments about Marsh Allen® Cast Iron Hibachi Charcoal Grill (30052):

I use this item for grilling meats and veggies and it works
very well for individuals and couples.I am a charcoal bbqer and appreciate the flavor much more than using a gas bbq. I have been using the Hibachi much more than my Weber because
the Hibachi uses less charcoal and has a better concentration of heat. Other than the poor casting of the thickness of each grill, whcih makes one grill sit higher than the other when cradled, I'm pleased with the product.

Comments about Marsh Allen® Cast Iron Hibachi Charcoal Grill (30052):

I puchased this hibatchi to feed my small crew at the fire station using real charcoal rather than using our worn out gas grill. I wanted a quick clean-up and quick lighting. I remembered my dad feeding his family of 6 on a small hibatchi when they were cool back in the 70's and began searching for a cast iron version like he had. Not too many choices since they are now made with thin sheet metal or are really expensive. This one is reasonably priced and fairly well made. I assembled the grill at my house and tried it out at home by loading it with 4 small steaks, three small corn on the cob, a foil pack of veggies and two baked potatoes. I liked the fact I could get the steaks closer to the coals and the veggies higher on the other grid surface. Everything cooked up at about the same time except the potatoes which I started earlier by placing them directly on the coals. I repeated the same menu at the firehouse and the crew was satisfied. Before I cooked food on it I oiled every surface and got a good hot fire going in it. I hit all the surfaces with Pam after every use and store it inside. If the other shifts take good care of it I expect it to last a few years. I am going to order one to use at my house even though I have a gas grill and a big Weber charcoal smoker.

I am not a big BBQer but it is fun occasionally, and there is only one of me and sometimes a friend, so this is all I need, plus I have a small area. I had one years ago. It was easy to assemble, it took less than an hour. I used it and it was great. Shipping to my Ace was fast.

Great grill, only problem is the two grilling surfaces don't line up with each other when you put them in the rack. Tried adjusting them but no adjustment will work. Still a great little grill.

Comments about Marsh Allen® Cast Iron Hibachi Charcoal Grill (30052):

We use a "chimney" to start our charcoal, then remove the cylinder, spread the coals and cooking starts in 15 min! The design keeps the coals hot until after we've eaten our main meal; then we roast marshmellows for desert...yum, yum. Our last hibachi lasted over 20 years. Looking forward to 20 with this new grill.

Comments about Marsh Allen® Cast Iron Hibachi Charcoal Grill (30052):

This product is much more durable than the stainless steel model. It offers good stability for the product, so there isn't much concern about having accidental charcoal knocked out of the grill. The ability to move the height of the grill grates is very useful for thing that don't need to cook close to the flame.

Uses less charcoal than a standard grill, so it will burn out a bit faster, which is good when you are using this away from home.

Comments about Marsh Allen® Cast Iron Hibachi Charcoal Grill (30052):

I recommend this item for one or two people who want to really have that outdoor smoky flavor. It of course uses charcoal and I recommend the cheapest you can get (Mine is Hy-Top) and lighter fluid. Letting the coals get nice and grey which takes about 20 to 30 minutes, then put on the meat. Even cooks vegies in foil in about 20 minutes, with butter, salt and pepper....yum. We liked it for the price and how quick it is to set up. thanks.
