I think this is a great crock for the money, i LOVE that i could have it shipped to my local ACE store for free! This is the perfect size to do big batches of sauerkraut. I will use this and have used it to make sauerkraut. Just made my first batch yesterday. Hopefully everything will come out good :) the 2 gallon one I bought was a bit smaller then I had imagined so If there would be a next time I would order the 4 gallon or bigger. Great quality..very heavy and seems like good construction. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Didn't have enough drawer space for all my kitchen utensils in my new kitchen. This crock is deep enough to "hide" most of my hodge-podge of mismatched ladles, spatulas, wooden spoons, etc. while helping my counter look tidy. I could have probably fit everything in a the 1 gallon, but now I have room to expand my utensil collection. Love the free shipping to store. Great service!

This crock is very large and heavy even when empty. I looked at the size before purchasing, but seeing it in person it is much larger than expected. I bought this to make jalapeño dill pickles that my son loves. I had been using an enameled cast iron dutch oven but it seemed that the brine was rusting the rim. I have not used this yet but it looks to be perfect of the use.
It seems well made, substantial (meaning heavy as heck) and the glaze appears to be well done. It will require a lot of space in the fridge but seems to fit the bill perfectly-and the price is extremely fair vs. others I looked at.

I am using the product as a fermentation crock and looked to find one that was inexpensive and that I was confident was made without the use of lead paint. This one fits the bill nicely.
It is a good heavy weight crock and seems to be of good construction that should hold up for a long time.
The only issue is not with the crock itself, but with finding a cover to use during fermentation. I didn't find one offered specifically to use with this model and had to improvise with a lunch-sized plate purchased elsewhere

I have already made one batch of sauerkraut and it worked very well. We will also be using it to make pickles. The 2 gallon is a perfect size for this. The glaze is excellent, making it very easy to clean.
