Just picked up two of these that I ordered up at my Ace Hardware store. The arrived with their delivery truck on Monday as they said they would...and they called me though I stopped in before I got the call.
They look very nice...but they are off white not white like in the picture... I don't know if that is because that is the color it comes in...or if white was in short supply. I will keep them...very nice...made in the USA. But will look for white in the future. Also they are smaller than I imagined...but perhaps I should have imagined what 1 gallon looks like a little better. Only around 20.00 each.

These are the perfect size for smallish batches of sauerkraut. I can probably fit 3-4 heads of cabbage (tightly packed) in one, depending on the size of the cabbage. I'm looking forward to summer and counter pickles!
