Ladies and Gents, the paint and primer in one is a gimmick. Do you see the primer line anywhere on the can? Just how much primer does it have in it? Any paint is "self priming," each is formulated differently. Depending on chemical make up, will determine how well it covers and holds back sheen inconsistency over bare drywall and spackle spots.

We used this product for the inside of the garage and it failed to cover in some areas even after a third coat of paint.

I decided to try this paint because of the free quart offer, so I bought another quart to go along with it to paint a small bathroom. I'm so glad I didn't choose this paint for a huge room because I found it to be so hard to work with. I was painting over a white wall, and because the paint is so thick, you have to really press it into the wall or you will keep seeing specks of wall underneath the paint and it dries so fast that it gets tacky right away so it's hard to keep a true wet edge. I found that it took a lot of paint to get that small bathroom painted (still had to go back for a 3rd quart) but once finished, it actually looks beautiful... It was just a pain to get it that way!

Excellent coverage, and a very tough surface finish. I've even experimented on laminate surfaces...... very impressive adheasion, and one coat hide with the lighter shades, and good burnish resistance. Nice "no stick shut" cabinet door paint as well.
As with all paints, the darker shades may require multiple coats due to the greater ratio of colorants to solids.
Over all...... I'm impressed with this paint.

Three coats required to ensure correct coverage....and even then there were still areas that required at fourth coat.

I chose this paint, out of all the paints, for my FRONT DOOR project. My house & front door were white. I got my red door but contrary to the information on the can, in the store, and in their advertising of "Ultra-Smooth" application, it looks like I have painted my front door with a pinecone! The paint is too thick. It did not cover a couple dark marks so I should have preprimed before using this PRIMER/PAINT combo. Exactly what I was told I would not have to do...

2 quarts took the room from brown to sky blue! absolutely amazing coverage! there's no need for a 2nd coat & clean-up was super easy! can't wait to use this paint again!

This paint has great coverage! I bought 1 gallon and only used half of it to completely paint my 10x12 room. I don't think I will ever use another brand of paint.
