I prefer this primer to the Kilz brand. I've used this on furniture as well as walls and have no complaints so far. I keep a spray bottle with water handy to spray my paint tray when using it on furniture. On a more detailed surface you want to thin it some make sure it gets in all the crevices. It has worked awesome on covering marker,crayon, and dark paints; usually with just one coat.

This primer covers dark paints very well. It does roll on pretty thick, but its managable with normal rollers and brushes. It was recommended to me by a home inspector and a sales rep. I had to cover colors such as Hunter Green, Plum Purple and Violet. It covered each room with one coat of primer, and one coat of paint. I did NOT tape off. Cut in with a brush or smaller roller and all will be fine. Clean up is very easy with warm water. I did not notice a strong lingering odor either after painting.

Was sold this primer when buying Ace Royal paint. It was awful. It is very thick - went on like an epoxy. We had to use two coats of paint in addition to this primer tinted. Have used many other primers and have only needed to use one coat of paint with it. Then when removing the painter's tape all 3 coats of paint came off with it in spots. Horrible, horrible - do not use for everyday painting projects. I think for difficult painting surfaces it would serve a purpose but for a regular interior wall it will ruin your weekend.
