The pressure cooker that this seal was used on has been in my family for over 30 years. The seal had never been changed and it began to leak. I was not sure there was even a replacement for this cooker because it is so old. I was elated to find the replacement seal here at Ace. I bought it and installed it and my pressure cooker is as good as new. Thank you Ace Hardware!

I have a discontinued model of presssure cooker, Presto 402, for which I bought a new gasket at Ace several years ago. This gasket eventually became gooey, and degraded into black grease. Still, it was better than no gasket and did work for several years. Since Presto does not offer a replacement gasket for this model anymore, I am still glad this alternate is available. Just be forewarned to watch and change it before it creates a black greasy mess.

This isn't a recommendation so much for the Presto pressure cooker gasket as it is for Ace Hardware. My Mom & Dad got a Presto Pressure Cooker for a wedding present 68 years ago and when they needed a replacement gasket for it, I thought it would be a real challenge to find one. Not at all. [...]. It's true....ACE IS THE PLACE!!!
