Comments about SCOTTS Ortho® Dial-N-Spray® Hose-End Sprayer (0836510):
This thing is easy to use but it is inconsistent at best. First one that I bought was used with a liquid herbicide and after working great for about 15 minutes it stopped spraying. Something was wrong with the trigger. It was finished. I was puzzled but since it was cheap I bought another. Immediately it leaked badly at the trigger, although the spray was still functional. So this one was finished too! Be smart and buy something else.

Comments about SCOTTS Ortho® Dial-N-Spray® Hose-End Sprayer (0836510):
I have tried two of these sprayers and have found that they do not disperse fertilizers consistently. Sometimes the fertilizer is mixed with the water, sometimes the water runs clear and no fertilizer is sprayed. (Yes, I have ensured that the sprayer is clean and unclogged.) I've had the same experience with two different fertilizers and several different settings. The sprayer just cannot be trusted and is a waste of time to use.

- Spraying Trees 30' Tall
Comments about SCOTTS Ortho® Dial-N-Spray® Hose-End Sprayer (0836510):
I just got this sprayer yesterday 9-16-2011. I tested it today and LOVE the wide opening for filling. The dial is very functional allowing for a large range of settings. It NEVER LEAKED one drop as long as I operated it with full water pressure (40-45 pounds). When I cut the pressure in half from the faucet, it did leak. It was NOT DESIGNED for use like that. Taking the end off where it sprayed a full stream, allowed me to spray my trees all the way to the top about 30-35 feet tall. I REALLY LOVE THIS ORTHO SPRAYER.
I own 2 OTHER dial & spray sprayers, but the small opening is hard to fill and must use a funnel which can be messy.

Comments about SCOTTS Ortho® Dial-N-Spray® Hose-End Sprayer (0836510):
I am assuming those who review this product used the rubber o-ring to seal the hose connection. I've had several of those sprayers over the years and they've been left out in the elements for months yet still work fine every year. If you can't spray far enough, check your water pressure before blaming it on the sprayer.

Comments about SCOTTS Ortho® Dial-N-Spray® Hose-End Sprayer (0836510):
A total waste of money. It did not spray up high enough into my apple trees. It leaked water around the trigger. It leaked water into the chemical jar. It leaked between the jar and the sprayer on top. The suction screen plugged immediately. It is a total piece of junk.
