Comments about ACE HARDWARE Ace Miter Box (025BSB14):
If you wish, you can discard the plastic miter box. The real value here is in the saw. This saw will perform almost as well as saws costing nine to more than twenty times as much.
It is a very acceptable tennon saw, with nice smooth cuts. Although a little on the large size for a dovetail saw, it can get by cutting dovetails by hand if they are not too small.
The downside with this saw is the plastic handle. It is slippery and not well designed. If you have the time and tools to make a nice open end wooden handle by all means do so.
