If you're looking for the very best portable charcoal grill of a size sufficient to feed up to 4 or 5 people, this is the product to buy. When my daughter recently "borrowed" my original (25 years old) version of this "Go Anywhere" grill I was happy to find that I could still buy a new direct replacement. It's far superior to their (cheap) "Smokey Joe" equivalent: The "Go Anywhere" model has a heavier steel shell with true porcelain enamel coating (not just spray paint), welded-on (not bolted) handle frames, with glass/poly heat-resistant handles, and has a heavier duty charcoal rack. It's easy to take on picnics, easy to stow, and exudes the kind of premium quality that's hard to find today. The current design has the same rotating legs as my old mid-80s model (legs lock over top cover for travel, allowing single hand carry), but these legs are now taller, and elevate the grill bed so that it's fully 4 inches above the picnic table or porch/deck surface (instead of 2 1/2 inch), so now there's 60% more clearance space for radiated heat to dissipate---it's safer.
Do read the Weber manual that comes with this grill---it's worth your time. And follow the suggested cook methods and cook times---they're accurate.
Use a corrugated cardboard (or plastic) box to make a compact "dust cover" for this grill for use when it's in storage. The size should be about 13 x 19 inches, and 9 inches deep. Cut a slot in the top for the grill's cover handle to poke through (assumes 9 in. deep box), and cut slots in both ends so that the box can clear the two side handles (assumes 19 in. long box).

You can control the airflow thru this grill which is a must on small grills.Top grill finally burnt thru and i had this so long i knew they didn't make it anymore.To my surprise i found it online at my local Ace Hardware. This has been on hundreds of camping outings and has held up really well..it's TUFF!! I am a happy man again :o)I know you will like it also.
