I used Terro ant traps to deal with small ants in our kitchen. At first, hoards of ants appeared in shocking numbers to drink the liquid. You have to tolerate this gross phase for a few hours because the bait doesn't kill the ants instantly, but within a day there were absolutely no ants anywhere, and they still haven't come back six weeks later. I've used lots of ant traps in my 60+ years and never seen one this effective before. I used Terro traps, not these bottles of Terro, but I guess you can get refillable traps and use these bottles to refill them.

I have used pure insecticide, and many, more than 4 other types of ant baits and they never did a thing. Within 5 minutes of placing a square piece of cardboard in the line of the ants, one "sniffed" the puddle I squirted, and left. My wife yelled at me to come look and the puddle was surrounded by 15 ants sucking away and filling up, then instantly returning to their nest. We were sad, we like ants, but not in our home. Poor guys are doomed. I was so excited, I am writing this before I even know if the ants will all die.

I used the indoor liquid trap.
About two years ago I started to see a few ants in my room. I had never had ant problems before so decided to give this a try before the problem got worse. I put about 3 baits down in different areas of the room around 10 P.M. By 7:30 the next morning, they were swarming with ants. There were probably about 20-50 in each trap. As much as I wanted to throw the traps away, I left them alone and within a day, most of them had gone. After a few days they disappeared entirely and I haven't had a problem since.
It's a bit more expensive than some other traps but absolutely worth it. I never even had to use the last three traps in the box.
