Comments about Simpson Strong-Tie 34-7/8"" 12 Gauge Ez Spike (FPBS44):
Bottom line- it does what it is supposed to do! So easy to install. We have sandy-ish soil but the ground was frozen and it still went in with ease. It is great for mailbox posts since it keeps it within USPS regulations, just make sure the bottom of the box is between 41" and 45" from the ground. End result is extremely sturdy.
