Ace is the only local place I've found that carries pure sodium hydroxide. Saves me a lot of money in my soap-making hobby/business, because it is expensive to have shipped. Also, I like being able to buy it in 1 pound quantities. I don't like the idea of having a big container of it stored in my home.

I am so glad Ace Hardware sells this. Since [...] stopped carrying Roebic crystals, I thought I would have to ship in all my lye for soapmaking. NOPE! Ace to the rescue. Now I can get my NaOH for [$] a pound and it's just down the street. I can pick it up with the rest of my soap supplies.

Cheap, fast drain opener. Just pour some crystals down the drain and add a little water. No more clog! Wear rubber gloves because this stuff WILL burn your skin.
