Ordinary household light bulbs burn out if dropped in a droplight. CFL's last indefinately in droplights and are not sensitive to bumps and falls. This application saves me a great deal of irritation. Droplight bulbs always burn out in tight spaces or when you really need them most.

The GE 13 Watt compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) are excellent replacements for 60 Watt incandescent lamps in terms of quality, longevity, color temperature, and price. The 5-pack will save the equivalent of 1880 kWh and 1.3 tons of carbon dioxide over their advertised 8,000 hour life. GE makes some of the best and quietest CFLs on the market. If you have been waiting to buy CFLs because you aren't sure of the quality, then buy some GE CFLs and you won't be disappointed.
