This is the best product for getting rid of poison oak. It has saved me many times. I keep some at all sinks and wash with it daily to keep accidental poison oak oil off of my skin. Once you have contracted poison oak you can simply wash several times a day with this soap to get rid of the rash much much faster! I love this soap.

Many trendy stain removing products make big promises, but few live up to their claims. I love Fels Naptha soap. It gets out any stain; old or new. I've given up buying the fancy stain removing products to stay with one that has worked for my family for over 50 years. I use my electric knife to cut up the bar. I take one of these mini-bars with me when I travel; now I don't worry about stains on the road. Of course, I can only seem to find this soap at Ace - the helpful hardware place, for sure:)

Out of all of the expensive products that I have purchased for my son to use for his acne, over the counter (including a famous name brand) and prescription medicine, nothing seemed to help, then a friend of mine told me to try Fels Naptha, she used to use it as a child and her skin is like ivory, she is 50 and looks like 40. His skin is clearing up and I would recommend this to anyone for all of the wonderful uses other than just laundry.

This is must have item if you have children,this stuff gets out every stain! Not only is a good stin remover it also works great in househol cleaning too. I would recommend that you try walmart first a it cost up to 50% less than at ace. I wouldn't be without it

I use this for everything it works excellent especially on those little black feet on the bottoms of white socks. I also used it and it remove set in blood on sheets from when my poodle decided to go into heat on my new sheets. I thought the sheets were a total loss they had been washed and dried numerous times and then I decided to use the Fels-Naptha on them and the blood came out. I have also used this to remove the stains on some of my older white corning ware, It removed the ugly black from my stove and oh gosh I just cant think of anything it isn't good for, I am considering looking for one of those old wash boards to use in the laundry room to remove the stains on a bunch of clothes I have down there. I love this stuff. I only wish I would have known about it sooner,

Baseball pants with dirt stains had been washed and dried. Researching baseball dirt stains, Fels Naptha came up so we went to Ace, found the product, dampened the pants and applied the soap, let them sit for a couple of hours, then washed them. It took another application of the soap to totally get all the stains out. Amazing product that saved a pair of baseball pants!!

I make my own Laundry powder with this product mixed with Borax and Washing Soda. It works out to 15c a load and work better than any other product.

I use one bar of this soap (grated) mixed with 20 Mule Team Borax and Arm and Hammer Washing Soda as a laundry detergent.
Also good for easing itch of bites.

I have three children and this product is like magic. I have tried everything and nothing works like this on removing stains, you have to use a little elbow grease but it is well worth it! You should all go and get yourself a bar, you won't regret it!

We bought a new washer...the type that takes the HE detergent. A friend suggested we make our own detergent with Fels Naptha soap. (He had used it for years.) We had never heard of Fels Naptha soap; but when we combined it with Washing Soda and Borateem (as he suggested), we were extremely pleased with the result. It's economical, too: we use one tablespoon for a load of laundry. Of course, you may use more if you wish.
To MAKE the DETERGENT, we gradually MIX the GRATED Fels bar with some of the Washing Soda in an old blender, to render it into a fine powder. If you don't put some Washing Soda in the blender, the grated Fels bar will stick to the blades. The Soda powder prevents that from happening. Once the Fels Naptha bar is entirely powdered, it is thoroughly mixed with 1 CUP of Washing Soda and 1 CUP of Borateem. We store the mixture in 2 glass sealer jars. (Do NOT try to blend the entire bar of Fels all at once; but do it a bit at a time, to prevent the blender from being overworked.)
ACE HARDWARE was the only place we could find Fels Naptha soap bars. ACE even supplied the detergent recipe. They're helpful folks at ACE. Now, I won't use anything else. I'm sure you'll be as pleased as we are if you use it.

I use it to clean every thing. Clothes, walls, bathroom, kitchen. It cleans better than any other product I have used in half the time and a bar will last a very long time. Our grandmothers used it and forgot to tell us this secret. I make my own laundry powder with it, grated with Borax and Laundry soda, better than any other commercial brand. You will save money.

I LOVE Fels Naphta for numerous reasons. I do make my own laundry detergent with it, too. I use the Living on a dime website's recipe and have to say it has been great. My clothes smell great, too. The recipe uses 1/2 grated bar of Fels Naphta, 1/2 cup Arm & Hammer Washing Soda and 1/2 cup 20 Mule Team Borax. What a great detergent and what a great $avings! Love it! Have used Zote before, but Fels Naphta has Zote beat by far. Just LOVE the fresh smell of Fels Naphta.

The Duggar homemade laundry gel uses this soap. This is my first time using this brand. It is amazing. I substituted other brands for awhile b/c I didn't want to take the time to order it. Glad I did..it "gelled" much better and smells sooo good!

I make my own laundry soap using Fels Naptha, Arm & Hammer Washing Soda and 20 Mule Team Borax. It is sooo cheap and cleans better than any laundry detergent I have ever used. Does not require fabric softener. Has no filers to cause allergeric reactions.

I grew up in the country and we would use this wonderful soap every time we returned from the woods or any other location that may have poison ivy. We would shower using Fels Naptha soap (do not get in eyes) which would wash away all the poison ivy oils and leave our skin squeeky clean. Not only is it a great prevention but if you missed a spot it will help clear and poison ivy rash. It helps dry the rash out.

As an adult I now live in the city. Recently I aquired a poison ivy rash that I have had to be on two rounds of prescription medicine to control. But, I visited my mom in the country this weekend and she gave me a bar of Fels Naptha......yeah!..relief at last. No more itching...the rash is drying out....thank god for good ol' home remedies.

I have never used Fels Naptha as a laundry soap but assume it would also be great to get poison ivy oils out of clothing.

This is honestly the BEST stain remover that I have come across! It is able to get out baby stains of all types, which is amazing! I am able to rinse out whatever stain, put the Fels Naptha on the stain and either wash it right away or leave it for a couple of days. Only complaint is that it is hard to find, but when you do, you will never buy another stain remover again!

If you live in Virginia, you've come to have a love/hate relationship with the red clay we call dirt. It gets on your clothes, the kids' clothes, etc. Well, Fels-Naptha soap actually gets it OUT of your clothes! I recommend it to anyone who is tired of thinking things are ruined after one day outside in Virginia. Soccer, baseball, football - all those uniforms CAN look clean again! Try it!

Best stain remover I have found. Great for baby clothes to remove formula and spit ups. Also great for poison Ivy too. I can only find it online though. Wish it were available locally!
