I have used my battery tender since 1995 it has been used outdoors for more than four years of the 17 years since my purchase. I purchased it as an accessory with my PWC. It has extended the life of my batteries and paid for itself many times over. It is rugged and works like a champ. Since the time of purchase I have gone through four cheaper Schumacher battery maintainers. I have four toys to protect and Deltran is the only maintainer I would recommend.

This specific product was highly recommended to me from several sources I respect. This battery tender product is much more sophisticated than just an ordinary "float" charger. The literature and those sources of information all said I could leave it hooked up to my battery indefinitely. I corresponded with a company individual who repeated the same thing although he said while I could leave it connected indefinitely I may want to attach the product every other week anyway. So, that's what I'll do. FYI, I have a 2nd vehicle I drive only for pleasure and it only gets driven 20 - 30 times a year. Between drives the various normal electrical drains on the battery can take a toll on the battery life. This product will help prevent that.
