I had a crawlspace that water would pour into through the block during lengthy periods of rain. I recently applied 2 coats of blue max and a new foundation drain line. During rain the drain line still flows water like crazy but the blue max hasn't allowed a single drop into the crawlspace. Outstanding product! Is everything the company claims.

Blue max went on extremely easily with a standard masonry coating brush.

Nothing more useless than a leaky basement. My unfinished basement was relativly dry when my wife and I moved in. But before I started to spend the time and money to finish it, I wanted to be sure that all my hard work and cash was not going to be wasted. I couln't think of a worse situatuon than fixing up the basement the way I wanted and then to have it all ruined by water leaks. Blue max was just what I was looking for.

Went on easier than expected. Three coats in basement. Top coat of white paint went over the blue nicely. Doesn't feel tacky with top coat over it. Waiting for the rain test. Used throw away painting supplies so clean up was easy. 4 stars only because waiting to see how it seals out rain water.

VERY thick; like a slightly runny jelly. Apply w/ the correct roller. Too small a nap and it is hard to apply. Very easy w/ very thick nap (I think I used 3/4"). Coverage is as advertised. Easy to apply!

Appears to seal very well. Easily covered gaps under 1/8" inch. Would probably cover 1/4" gaps. Elasticity appears to be as advertised. So far, no moisture through my block wall (although I rarely had any unless large snow melt against foundation-- so hard to be 100% sure it will work---- but it appears it will!)

Only con is it is slightly tacky weeks after application (this is as advertised). Not a problem for me; actually makes applying the XPS foam insulation easier...

Would buy again- it works (so far- applied 1 month ago) as advertised!

I used it on my mobile home aluminum roof that is 44 years old and was leaking on multiples areas, I did two coats last week and I am waiting for the product to cure before put the last coat with Snow White. Hurricane Isaac came thru and has no leaks at all. Thank you for this excellent product.

We own a 100 year old home, the unfinished basement had water problems and the stone walls were to say the list crumbling, after a few coats of blue max, we had 2 rain storms and NO WATER, we brushed the walls because we could not find an airless sprayer, but it was WORTh every penny and all the labor.. highly recomend, must follow directions, and will use again if we need to water proof any other area in the home..

I had a badly leaking block basement last year. After A LOT of research, I decided to use the Blue Max. I got 25 gallons of regular and 1 gallon of trowel grade to patch up the huge cracks where the mortar had failed and water was pouring in during heavy rain. Took me a day to patch up all the cracks and spray 2 coats on the entire inner basement walls. Since then, I haven't had a bit of water in the basement whatsoever!! This is truly an excellent product and I HIGHLY recommend it. Oh...don't forget the seam tape if you have cracks larger than 1/8". I can't say enough good things about Blue Max!!

I used the product on clean plywood and it did not stick. It has been flaking off and is almost completely gone. It was a huge waste of money. I contacted the company letting them know it did not work as described and they have not responded.

I used this product to coat the inside of a 1200 gallon rain cistern that is used to water my vegetable garden. It was important that the product contained no toxic substances and sealed small cracks. Two years later and after the earthquake that hit N. VA no leaks.

As a mechanical engineer, I am always in search of the best quality products for my requirements. I just coated the exterior of a block foundation and used 4 coats of the blue Max. Compared to asphalt damp proofing, this product is in a different league. It is exponentionally better in all categories. I cannot recommend this product enough. I plan to use it on anything that will be in contact with dirt. Fence posts, mailbox post... Etc..

Great product. Need minimum of 3 coats and can be time consuming. Hope it holds up and keeps waterproofing for the long haul but seems to be a nice approach

I used it on my brick basement walls after a power wash and dry. I used 4 coats so I don't need to redo this anytime soon. It took one gallon per 100sf using an extra thick paint roll. Allowed one day to dry between coats. When it all dryed, it looks very robust: thick and homogenous layer, I can't image any water gettingthrough, but that remains to be seen. As of now, I am very satisfied with this product and it is definately worth the money.

I coated my basement walls with this product. I haven't had a big rain storm to test it yet but I'll bet it works. Even after a week since I applied it, the surface is rubbery. When applying it, don't worry about putting on too much and having runs, this stuff really clings. There's no smell and the cleanup is easy.

after the recent flood in basement we tried this product to seal the walls. (check the AMES website for videos and instructions). works as advertised! 3 to 5 coats is a must but well worth the cost. after years of using drylock and other products, this one actually works. Make sure surface is completely dry before using.

This product works! We own a hundred year old house and all the basement problems that go with it. This was the only paint that sealed the crumbling walls and made it water proof. Follow the website directions carefully, walls must be clean, dry and all holes filled. And the paint sprayer is the only way to go. Would use again for any water proofing project.
