I recently started making my own hand and body lotions and needed a jar to store them in. This jar is perfect.
I love the size and the wide mouth allows me to just dip my hand in and grab the lotion.
It also looks nice in my bathroom. I love the quilted look of these jars and the fact that it has a smooth oval on it for me to put the label.

Everyone knows how versatile and useful mason jars are. They have achieved a new popularity with the surge of Pinterest ideas, from crafts to serving dishes, there are literally thousands of 'new' uses for these very old jars.
My excitment and motivatiion in offering these comments was not so much for the product itself, but the fact that I bought them at Ace Hardware. Who knew??? I shopped for two weeks, scouring every type of store I could think of, with no success. While I was able to find the standard sized jars in most of my local grocdery stores, I could not locate the 4 ounce size that I specifically wanted. I eventually searched on-line and found them available at Ace Hardware. I was able to easily place my order on line and the next day I picked they up at my local Ace. I would never have thought a hardware store would carry such an item but they had stacks of these great jars, in every size. (I am hosting a large party in December and serving several choices of mousse in these jars. I have experimented ahead of time and the jars work great in holding just the right amount for a sweet treat and providing storage for maintaining the freshness I desire. Additionally, they lend beautifully to the country Christmas theme I am creating and they make serving a breeze since each guest can help themself to a single serving...no messing cutting or scooping or plating up)

We purchased these for preserving various jellies and apple butter for our winter pantry and for gifts to friends and family. They are the perfect size for gifting and the only appropriate size for certain recipes.

The only problem we have is paying the same amount of money we pay for pint and quart jars. These are clearly made with much less material than the bigger jars. Otherwise, they are great American products.

I bought these for my wedding and we are using them as wedding favors. We love these jars. They are the perfect size for candy. I accidently dropped one and it did not break when I thought it would. They are very durable. The quilted look makes them more elegant looking. I would/will buy these again when I need more.

I use the product for storing paint and chemicals that I use in my art work. The quilted sides aid the finger grip and the wide mouth is good for brush access. I also do the little jelly/jam thing at the holidays.

I ordered these jars to be used for my daughter's wedding. Part of the order will be used to can apple butter. These will be given as a wedding favor. The other jars will be used as votive holders (mini candles in glass so the wax won't contaminate) and then afterwards, I'll be able to use them for canning and preserving.

I love these jars! I used them for favors at our wedding. I filled them with lemon curd and decorated the tops. The lids sealed very quickly in the fridge and they were very popular. I make jelly gifts at Xmas and use 8 oz jars but I'm going to switch to these this year. 4 oz is just right. I will order directly through the store though and not online since I almost didn't get them in time.
