Welna Robbinsdale Ace Hardware is continuing the tradition of outstanding customer service in the Robbinsdale area. In 1954, the Welna family opened their first Ace Hardware store in South Minneapolis. Three generations later, Mark & Cathy Welna purchased Robbinsdale Ace Hardware in 2018. Growth means change and in 2023, ownership transferred to siblings Molly & Sam Welna and Birdtown Backyard by Welna Ace Hardware opened next door to provide a store centered on the backyard experience. In 2024, a new outdoor Garden Center opened. As your local Ace Hardware, our store is a member of the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the industry and is independently owned. From neighborhood hardware stores, to lumberyards to super-size home centers, each Ace Hardware is unique and tailored to meet the needs of its local community.
