Much easier to use than writing this review was. Push metal sleeve into hole - push handle down to get spring into S-trap - pull sleeve up - twist handle. Flush joyfully!!

I'd never even heard of a toilet auger before much less used one, but after less than [$] and admittedly a bit of effort, it worked like a charm. Anything to not have to call the plumber.
