Comments about Case® XX Sod-Buster Jr (095):
I have had one of these since the 1980's. It is still a quality product. I bought one for my son who remembers me using mine on camping trips when he was very young.
It's a great pocket knife. I use it to peel grapefruit and open beer bottles and cut tomatoes etc.
Before this one I had a carbon steel blade one (same model) that I lost somewhere. I replaced it with the stainless blade which has kept an edge and is my constant companion.
Pros
- Comfortable Grip
- Durable
- Sharp Blade
Cons
- Dulls Quickly
Best Uses

Comments about Case® XX Sod-Buster Jr (095):
A decent workhorse, drop point, non-locking, old school pocket knife. I can't find which type of steel it is, but it's comparable to 420 stainless, so I don't expect it to keep an edge for too long. That's what knives in this price range do, though. I got it razor sharp with whetstones--it takes a hood edge.
I like the fat drop point; it's good for slicing but not for puncturing. Opening is a little tough, but it stays open solidly. All in all, a good all-around carry knife for cutting and slicing.

Comments about Case® XX Sod-Buster Jr (095):
It came machine sharpened "dull" and a few passes on the leather strop made it razor sharp. It's a great little knife, tough and durable. It's great for simple chores, opening boxes, cutting apples and anything else you would ask from a little pocket knife. It's not "tacti-cool" like so many pocket clip folders that snag and then get lost. It disappears in a front pocket along with all my gear. I purchased it to replace a Swiss army knife and it blows it away.

Comments about Case® XX Sod-Buster Jr (095):
Dull right out of the box. But that's as sharp as it gets. Couldn't put a good edge on it to save my life. Nowhere even close to the sharpness or quality of my other Case knives. Nothing but a glorified paring knife. Spend a few bucks more and buy a good Case knife.

I'm a dirt contractor and this knife is perfect. It fits in your front pants pocket without jabbing you in the leg. I have already used it to cut string, rope, oil and fuel lines, sticks, and haven't had a need to sharpen it yet. I used to buy Old Timers, not anymore..Thanks.
