You just warm the drain with hot water, turn the water down to a trickle, drop one of the four envelopes into the drain and turn on the disposer. Blue foam comes up out of the drain into the sink, the disposer gurgles, you rinse the sink and have a clean smelling disposal. I really like this product!

While Baking soda & white vinegar works well, too; you do not need to use lemons or oranges to freshen up the smell.
The first time I used it I was shocked by how much gunk came floating out with the foam. The second time I used it (a week later) only a little gunk came up. Since then I use it once a month (or if I have an odor seeping out of the drain) and it freshens the drain and little (if any) gunk comes out.
It suggests using it once a week but that would be for people that do not completly grind up their food scraps like they should. Some people flick the switch for a few seconds and turn it off...WRONG.
This stuff works great! Buy it...use it...be happy!
