Transform Vintage Frames

Give any room a great new look when you craft picture-perfect accent pieces from vintage frames. Ace can help make this project easy with the paint, supplies and expert advice you need.

What You'll Need:

  • Clark+Kensington® interior paint
  • Primer
  • 1.5" angled paintbrush
  • Paint tray and liner
  • Paint stir stick
  • 180 grit sanding block
  • Damp rag

First, take the sanding block and give the frames a good sanding to prep them for painting. Be sure to wipe the dust off with a damp rag when you're done.

Now, use the brush to apply primer smoothly and evenly across the entire surface of each frame. Once the primer has dried, brush on two coats of Clark+Kensington® Paint Soothing Eucalyptus 28B-6, giving each coat time to dry before the next one goes on.

Helpful Tip:

Applying multiple coats of paint will create a full and lustrous finish for your decorative frames

Then it's just a matter of letting the paint dry and you're done! What could be easier? Your old picture frames go to fashionable focal points in practically no time at all. Best of all, it's simple to do it yourself when you have help from the local experts at Ace.

If your home was built prior to 1978, check for lead-based paint before you sand or scrape any painting surfaces. Call 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to www.epa.gov/lead for more information.
