This is a 50 pack of Harvest Right oxygen absorbers. Oxygen absorbers are used to protect packaged foods and other products against spoilage, mold growth, color change, loss of nutritive values, insect damage and loss of quality. By removing residual oxygen inside packaging to below 0.01 percent this 700cc oxygen absorber effectively preserves packaged foods without the need for food additives/preservatives and without the need for vacuum sealing. For use in gallon-size mylar bags.
- Place freeze-dried food in your container of choice (mylar bags, #10 cans, jars)
- Open package of oxygen absorbers - check indicator to see if they are still good
- Place an adequate oxygen absorber in the bag, can, or jar
- Seal the container
- Make sure to quickly reseal your package of leftover oxygen absorbers as they will go bad in a couple of minutes
