Russell's Bromeliads Green Tectorum Grower Air Plant

Native to really arid areas of South America, Tectorum is one of our more rare species of Tillandsia. Given its dense trichome coverage, Tectorums foliage has soft, fuzzy blades that are a silver to almost white color. Although it is a slow grower, it can reach sizes in excess of eight inches. During blooming a pink violet spike will emerge from the center reaching a size taller than plant itself and shooting out purple flowers. Tectorum enjoys bright conditions or indirect light and is very drought tolerant.
