With a powerhead weight of just under 8.5 pounds, the MSE 170 C-B is light enough for agile cutting work and features a wide trigger switch and the toolless Quick Chain Adjuster for easy operation. There's even a coast-down feature which quickly stops the rotating chain when the trigger is released. Just plug it in and put it to work.
  • Anti-Vibration System - STIHL has developed a system for minimizing the vibration levels of handheld outdoor power equipment. The STIHL anti-vibration system helps reduce operator fatigue and provides a more comfortable working experience.
  • STIHL Quickstop Plus (Q) Chain Braking Feature - An additional, manually-activated chain brake. This system is designed to engage when right hand of the operator completely releases the rear handle, stopping the chain within one second.
