The SharkBite UA70R10 is a 10-foot long red PEX-A (cross-linked polyethylene) straight pipe with a nominal size of 3/4" (outside diameter ~?7/8"). It's designed for both hot and cold potable water distribution, fire-protection systems, and municipal water service lines. Because of its flexibility - thanks to PEX-A tubing - it can bend around corners, reducing the number of fittings needed, which in turn lowers labor time, material cost, and potential leak points. The pipe is freeze-resistant (able to expand slightly if water freezes without bursting and then contract when thawed) and is compatible with a wide range of fittings (expansion, crimp, push-to-connect, plastic or brass-barb), giving it broad versatility in plumbing installation.
