The Tectite by Apollo Water Heater Installation Kit with Tank Tee is the fastest, simplest and cleanest method by which to install a water heater with an expansion tank. With thread tape applied to water heater nipples, screw the Tank Tee to the cold water inlet and the 18 in. Corrugated Stainless Steel to the hot water outlet. After applying thread tape to the nipple on the expansion tank, screw the expansion tank into the threaded outlet of the Tank Tee and insert the 12 in. Corrugated Stainless Steel connector with brass insert into the top of the Tank Tee. Finally, make the final connections to the existing piping system utilizing the Push-To-Connect ends of the connectors. It is fast, simple and clean to install. Tectite by Apollo push-to-connect products are the cleanest and simplest way to gain flow control on copper, CPVC, PE-RT and PEX pipe without the use of tools, solder, open flame or glue. Simply insert the pipe to allow the high-strength stainless steel teeth to grip the pipe securely against the specially designed O-ring. Stop valve removal and reuse is just as simple using a simple demount clip (sold separately). After assembly, fittings may be rotated for simpler installation in tight spaces.
