Turn the handle to push foods against a perforated disc to break them down to smaller particles, remove seeds, skins, and fibrous bulk. It's a great canning tool, too. It's ideal fresh homemade spaghetti or barbecue sauce, creamed soup, applesauce, mashed potatoes, yams, carrot, parsnip puree, pumpkin pie filling, homemade baby food, jams, jellies, and more. Simply set the Mill over a large bowl or pot, insert the desired disc, place food into the basket, and turn the large crank handle clockwise to process food through the disc. Turn the handle counterclockwise to collect skins and seeds for easy removal. For best results, blanch or boil firmer foods until soft before processing.
