Create decorative filled thumbprint and Linzer tart cookies filled with colorful jam, hazelnut spread, caramel, or creamy ganache. Simply roll out the dough and dip the cutters in flour to keep them from sticking. Press the cutters firmly into the dough, then press the spring-loaded lever to indent the center and emboss the edge design. Lift cutters and press their spring-loaded lever again to release the cutout. For best results, work with rollout cookie dough recipes that are well chilled, at least 30 minutes. Cutters can be dipped in flour between cuts to prevent them from sticking. Spoon the filling into the cutouts indentations, chill for an additional 10 minutes to retain their embossed design, then bake according to the recipe directions.
