After the developments that the World War II era brought to the small agricultural community of Anaheim, the major transformation arrived in 1955. Anaheim changed forever from a sleepy and proud little town into the center for entertainment and tourism in Southern California with the arrival of Disneyland. Other national and regional businesses and franchises arrived in and around this Orange County anchor city-including the California Angels baseball club, the Anaheim Convention Center and such aerospace giants as Boeing and Rockwell International-and Anaheim grew exponentially.
