Product Overview

The beautiful carnation surrounded by leaves featured on this mat is inspired by an arts and crafts wallpaper held in the archives of the Victoria and albert museum. Compton was designed in 1895–6 for Compton hall in Wolverhampton, England, the home of Laurence Hodson, and it was probably the result of a joint effort between William morris (1834–96) and his assistant J.H. Dearle (1859–1932). Made from the best quality all natural coir to meet the industry's highest standards of durability, entryways doormats are hand stenciled with eco-friendly dyes for long lasting vibrancy.
