The active ingredient is Permethrin. Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that affects the central nervous system of the pest. It works by either contact or ingestion. With such a broad label, Permethrin 13.3% can be used to prevent potential harm from flies, face flies, horn flies, stable flies, house flies, lice, fleas, ticks, mites, ants, mosquitoes, etc. Permethrin 13.3% can be used as a pour-on backrubber for horses, swine, cattle, cows, beef, dairy, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, chickens, dogs and for misting. It can be used for both indoor and outdoor treatment such as baseboards, floorboards, folds and seems in mattresses or box springs, around doors, windows, around plumbing pipes under sinks, around cabinets and more. Outdoor use includes around windows, doors, weep holes, lawns, animal housing, barns, kennels, yards, dairies, and stables.
