Product Overview

With heavy-duty power in a compact, lightweight package, the MS 151 C-E represents the lightest saw in its STIHL Farm & Ranch class. With a host of great STIHL features, including STIHL ElastoStart, STIHL Quickstop and the Ematic Lubrication System, this tool provides users with a farm and ranch saw that is small, powerful and easy to use.
  • IntelliCarb Compensating Carburetor - Measures the air pressure on the clean side of the air filter and adjusts the metering diaphragm in the carburetor. This keeps the RPM at a consistent level, even when the air filter begins to clog.
  • The Master Control Lever is an easy to use single lever, operating the choke, starting throttle lock and on-off switch. The operator must pull the throttle trigger before moving the Master Control Lever to the choke position.
  • Purge Pump Primer - Enables the user to prime the carburetor with fuel, enabling easier starting.
  • STIHL Quickstop Chain Brake System - a chain stopping system designed to reduce the risk of injury in certain kickback situations.
  • The Adjustable Automatic Oiler allows the user to adjust the lubricant of the guide bar and saw chain for different bar lengths and cutting conditions.
  • STIHL Easy2Start system - Makes starting STIHL outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. The specific system may vary by model.
  • Ematic Lubrication System - Two ramps, strategically placed in the guide bar rail, help contain the flow of oil and direct all lubrication to the sliding faces of the bar and chain links as well as the rivets and driver holes.
  • STIHL has developed a system for minimizing the vibration levels of handheld outdoor power equipment. The STIHL anti-vibration system helps reduce operator fatigue and provides a more comfortable working experience.
  • The side-access chain tensioner makes it much more convenient for the user to adjust the saw chain with a bar wrench as opposed to the typical location of the guide bar adjustment screw.
