Product Overview

The STIHL HLA 56 is the first extended-reach hedge trimmer within the AK Series. Powered by the 36-volt lithium-ion battery as other products within the AK Series, this hedge trimmer provides homeowners with more versatility by combining the benefits of a battery-powered product with the ability to accomplish difficult trimming tasks. A high cutting speed of 2,800 strokes per minute allows for clean and efficient cutting, even when dealing with larger branches. At 11.1 pounds (with AK 20 battery) and with an articulating cutting blade offering a 135-degree range, the HLA 56 leverages optimal cutting performance with the lightweight portability needed to get the job done.
  • Ergonomic Loop Handle - The ergonomic loop handle is ideal for making cuts in any direction
  • Tip Protector - The tip protector makes cutting near the ground or along walls easier while protecting the trimmers cutters from damage
  • Blade Scabbard - The blade cover helps protect the cutting blade during storage and transport
  • Single-Sided Blades - STIHL hedge trimmers with single-sided blades are ideal for cutting hedges in one direction that range between waist and chest height
  • Laser-Cut Diamond Ground Blades - Each blade is laser cut and ground using diamond discs. The hardened cutting edges are highly resilient and remain sharp for a longer period of time
  • Throttle Trigger Lock - The built-in stop switch allows the user to turn off the engine with a simple press of the button or lever. When the engine is off, the throttle lock automatically returns to the "start" setting
