PVC adapter is used to make a transition between 1 in PEX and 1 in PVC pipe in a straight line. PEX side of the fitting is installed using crimp (crimp rings + crimp tool) or clamp/cinch (clamp tool + clamps) connection method. PVC side of the fitting is installed in the same way as regular PVC connection (primer, glue).
