As your local Ace Hardware, our store is a member of the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the industry. Kerr Home Center was founded in 1858 and was known in those days as Kerr and Griffith Hardware Company. The original store front was destroyed by a fire in the early nineteen hundreds. The store was re-built and reopened as Kerr and Parrott Hardware in the same location it is today. The store has remained in the Kerr family since its founding over 150 years ago. Over the years the company has purchased several other downtown buildings that were attached to the original store and expanded to over 10,000 square feet. In the early 1960's Kerr Hardware became affiliated with the ACE Hardware Corporation and is a family owned and operated ACE Hardware store still today.
