Creating Candlesticks From a Repurposed Chair

What You'll Need:
- Clark+Kensington® interior paint
- Primer
- 1.5" angled paintbrush
- Paint tray and liner
- Paint stir stick
- 150 grit sandpaper
- Odorless mineral spirits
- Latex gloves
- Wood bases and caps
- Wood glue
- Miter saw
- Damp rag
Start off by using a miter saw to carefully remove the legs from the chair, then glue on the wood caps and bases to the tops and bottoms.
Once the glue has set and the caps and bases are solidly bonded to the chair legs, take the 150 grit sandpaper and give all the surface areas of the legs a good sanding. Wipe them down with odorless mineral spirits.

Wear latex gloves to protect your hands while using mineral spirits
For the best finish, it's always a good idea to prime first. Use the paintbrush to cover the entire candlestick with primer, including the base and cap, working carefully to avoid any drips or runs.
Wash off your brush and, once the primer is dry, paint each candlestick with Clark+Kensington® Paint Stormy Weather CW-C7. Apply as many coats as you need to create a smooth, even finish.
