About This Store
As a business rich in tradition and family, Whitmore Ace Hardware begins our fifth generation of leadership. We realize what has made us a strong brick and mortar business is our love of community and service for over 120 years. Mike & Mary (Whitmore) Cripe ran the business along with Mary's Father & Grandfather, for many years. Their sons Michael & David Cripe have continued in the family footsteps and have grown the business to 14 locations. Whitmore Ace Hardware has a strong set of core values: To be noticeably different, dedicated to family and community, amaze every customer, work with passion and live a life with gratitude.

Community Outreach
We are collecting gently used prom dresses and accessories in all four Whitmore Ace Hardware Stores during the months of January and February. There will be a prom dress distribution March 10th at Fossil Ridge Library in Braidwood from 9--3. All local students are welcome.
